Advocacy Resources for Students
Preparing for a Judicial Conference or formal hearing before a University Hearing Commission can be time consuming and labor intensive. The Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct allows every student  involved in the campus judicial  process to be accompanied to a Judicial Conference or Hearing Commission by one advisor.

There are two resources for students which provide expert advice and advocacy along with a detailed inside knowledge of the Campus Judicial Process:

Student Advocates Office:
The Student Advocates Office is a service of the university, provided through the Division of Student Affairs. Student advocates are retired university faculty and administrators or Division staff members who are trained to answer your questions about the Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct and the campus judicial process. If you choose, an advocate can accompany you to your judicial hearing. Advocates work with students individually and confidentially.
Our office is located in Eigenmann Center, 2nd floor West, Room (TBD).
We are open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 noon and 1 - 5 p.m.
You may contact us at 855-0761 or by e-mail at advocate@indiana.edu.

IU Student Association: Department of Student Rights
This is a student run service of the IUSA (Student Government). Case managers are students who are trained in the Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct and the campus judicial process. We will prepare, advise, and can attend your hearing with you. We will work with students individually and confidentially.
Our office is located in the IMU Student Activities Tower, Room 387.
We are open Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Contact us at 855-4872 or by e-mail at iusasr@indiana.edu.
